G.C.E. A/L - Chemistry - Teachers' Guides

In the G.C.E (A/L) classes new education reforms were introduced from the year 2017 in accordance with the new education reforms implemented in the interim classes in the year 2015. According to the reforms, Teachers' Guides for Chemistry for Grade 12 and Grade 13 have been prepared.

The Grade 12 and Grade 13 Teacher’s Guides have been organized under the titles of competencies and competency levels, content, learning outcomes, and the number of periods. The proposed lesson sequence is given for the learning-teaching process.

Further, it is expected that these Teachers' Guides will help the teachers to prepare their lessons and lessons plans for the purpose of the classroom learning-teaching process.

Also, it is expected that this Guide will help the teachers to take the responsibility to explain the subject matters more confidently. The total number of periods to teach this Chemistry syllabus is 600. Teachers can be flexible to change the number of periods according to their necessity. Teachers can use school-based assessment to assess the students.
